Matsue Vogel Park

Matsue Vogel Park is a theme park in Matsue City, Shimane Prefecture where you can learn about birds and nature. The site covers about 27,000 square meters and is home to a variety of birds and animals. The park includes a waterfront area, a grassland area and a forest area, each with its own distinctive creatures.

Kirara Beach

This beach is located facing the Sea of Japan. It's marked by a large windmill on a nearby hill. The beach and the sea are so beautiful. It is also known for having the earliest sea opening in Japan. The water is clean and dolphins are known to visit. The sunsets are also beautiful and have been selected as one of the best 100 sunsets in Japan.

Kougo Daiichi Park

It is a very common Japanese park. You can find similar parks in many places in Japan. It has a little playground equipment, a square, and a water fountain. Our children have been to this park many times. It is a great place with great support from the adults around.

Kasado Island

It is a crescent-shaped island of less than 12 square kilometers in the calm Setonaikai Sea. Visitors can enjoy nature in each of the four seasons. This time, we were able to see the early blooming "Kawazu Sakura" and canola blossoms. Our daughter Naoko has the kanji for cherry and canola blossoms in her name. So we really wanted to visit there at this time of the year.

Matsue Castle

Matsue Castle is designated as a national treasure in Japan. It is one of only twelve remaining castles in Japan that has been preserved in its original form. There are many castles in Japan, but most of them have been rebuilt in recent years. Matsue Castle is still there as it was over 400 years ago. It's exciting to imagine the samurai of that time operating here.

Hiroshima Castle

Hiroshima Castle was built in 1589. The current Castle was rebuilt in 1958, but you can see the remnants of those days such as stone walls and building foundations. The area around the castle is perfect for walking or running. There are many carp swimming in the moat and it is also called Carp Castle.

Sera Yume Park

Sera Yume Park is located in the northern part of Hiroshima Prefecture. The large rocks at the top of a small hill are impressive. The site is 27 hectares in size and is built on a hilly terrain, and has a great view from the observation deck.

Takoyaki

Takoyaki is a Japanese savory snack in the shape of little round balls. It is made from dough, mixture of flour and water. We usually put small pieces of octopus in it, but we put shrimp because there was no octopus on that day. It was very delicious!

Mr. Throwing Bat

Our sons love baseball. The second son Keita throws the bat after hitting. Even if it is a ground ball to the pitcher. We hope that in the future he will become a homerun batter and demonstrate his talent to the full.

There are 4 restaurants around us within 10 minutes walk. Each restaurants has its own way of cooking and ingredients.
